How to perform a hard restart on a printer
- Remove all cartridges from the printer.
- Shut down the printer after cartridges are removed.
- Unplug the printer's power cord and USB cord.
- Wait 10 minutes before plugging anything back in.
- After the step above, plug the printer back in and start it up.
- Install the cartridges back into the printer.
- Reboot the printer once more (unplugging is not required).
