Inkedibles offers 2 types of Frosting Sheets (our Premium line, which is our original line going back to 2011), and our newest Artisan line (added June 2014).
There are different sizes available (as well as precut template sizes) for each Premium and Artisan Line, as follows:
Inkedibles Premium (Original) Frosting sheet sizes:
- 8.5 x 11 inch (full letter size, regular thickness)
- A4 Size (almost 8.5x11), available in the following precut templates:
(NOTE: for precut templates, see attached template, instructions and printer settings to use)
- 1.25 inch circles (48 circles per sheet)
- 2.0 inch circles (15 circles per sheet)
- 2.5 inch circles (12 circles per sheet)
- 3.0 inch circles (6 circles per sheet)
- 8.0 inch circles (1 circle per sheet)

- 8.5 x 11 inch (full letter size, ultra thin thickness)
- 8 x 14 inch (full legal size)
- 11 x 17 inch (extra wide, requires wide format printers)
- Precut templates (all are 8.5 x 11 except for the 1.25" circles which is on A4 size):
(NOTE: for precut templates, see attached template, instructions and printer settings to use)
- 1.25 inch circles (35 circles per sheet)
- 2.0 inch circles (12 circles per sheet)
- 2.5 inch circles (12 circles per sheet)
- 3.0 inch circles (6 circles per sheet)
- 8.0 inch circles (1 circle per sheet)
- 2.5 x 3 inch rectangles / business cards (10 per sheet)
For 1/2 sheet cakes, customers commonly use either the legal size Artisan (8" x 14", will work in any edible printer) or the wide format Artisan (11" x 17", requires a wide format edible printer). The baking industry standard size for 1/2 sheet cakes is either 11" x 15" or 12" x 16" - (Sheet Cake sizes dimension chart below).
When the legal size frosting sheets are used there is often thicker border of decorative icing around the perimeter of the sheet to fill in the empty space.
Other notes on cake sizes:
Commercial bakeries with commercial ovens often use the full sheet pan. This pan will not fit inside the standard home oven.
Sheet cakes from a bakery come in three basic sizes - 1/4 sheet, 1/2 sheet, and full sheet sizes.
The 1/2 sheet cake size is neither twice the size of a 1/4 cake or half the size of a full sheet cake. It's actually only 50% larger than a 1/4 cake.
The rectangular pan that most home bakers use for one box of prepared cake mix is the the size of a quarter sheet cake, which measures approximately 9" x 13", with a depth of either 2 or 3 inches. If you lay 4 of these pans together, the size would be approximately the size of a full sheet cake.
